Chunky Flat Twist Updo for Neck Length or Longer

If you’re anything like me you’re always looking for cute but simple hairstyles. I stumbled upon this one on Instagram. (Are you following me on Instagram? You should!!!) Its great for any hair type and hair that is neck length or longer. I’m actually wearing it right now. I’ll share pictures later.

Tynisha aka TyMeSheHer on Instagram is sporting 5 chunky flat twist in the back and sides of her head. The front that is parted into a V shape  that is then plaited into loose jumbo twist and pin with bobby pins to create an elegant pompadour.

Tynisha was so kind to do an #instarequested YouTube Tutorial (see below.)  Follow Ty on Instagram for more hairstyle inspiration. This hairstyle can be down in less than 15 mins on stretched and detangled natural hair.

I love your page! it has been one year since i made the big chop, but i can’t stop think about perming my hair again. i see the natural styles and that just changes my thinking, so I’m gonna wait until i achieve my length again! Keep up the good work!!

Hi! I’m new to your page.I just did the BC a couple weeks ago after tranitioning for about 8 months. Still don’t wear my hair out in it’s natural state, but I just wanted to say that people like you are helping me to gain courage to look at myself in another light. I’m taking baby steps and am gaining confidence every day.

My hair is about 1 inch and growing slowly. I did my second big chop on June 29, 2013 but my hair is growing very slowly. I’ve switch conditioners and tried different methods but nothing.

My oil of choice is now castor oil or grape seed and I have some avocado to try next.

Can you please help me with some techniques I can use to help my hair grow better and some

techniques to assist with dryness. Pleeeaaase
